When it comes to finding the perfect place to elope, the majestic Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming is undeniably one of the most breathtaking settings in the United States. While many couples dream of exchanging vows within the park’s boundaries, a quieter, more intimate experience can often be found just outside its borders. From panoramic views of towering peaks to serene alpine lakes, there are numerous hidden gems that provide a stunning backdrop for your elopement. Why Elope Outside Grand Teton National Park?

Grand Teton National Park is famous for its towering peaks, pristine lakes, and lush valleys. However, due to its popularity, certain areas within the park can get crowded with tourists, especially during peak season which is June-September. Eloping just outside the park allows you to enjoy the same spectacular scenery with fewer crowds.

Additionally, choosing a location outside the park might offer more flexibility in terms of permits, lodging, and the overall experience. Whether you want a more secluded spot or an unforgettable scenic view, the area surrounding Grand Teton National Park has everything you need to create an unforgettable elopement day.

  1. Togwotee Pass- Moran Wyoming

A little over an hour north of Jackson Hole is the small town of Moran Wyoming. It is the gateway to Togwotee Pass (Toe-ga-dee Pass) which offers breathtaking views mountain views, beautiful lakes, and one of a kind lodging experiences! This location will also put you directly between Grand Teton and Yellowstone for easier access to both National Parks.

2. The Wedding Tree

If you have searched for places to get married in Grand Teton National Park you have likely come across The Wedding Tree. At this location, there are two trees that create an arch framing the iconic Grand Tetons making it a popular spot for couples to get married.  Because of its popularity, it does require a permit through Bridger-Teton Friends.

3. Teton Valley Idaho (Driggs, Victor & Tetonia)

The Grand Teton Mountain range runs along the border of Idaho and Wyoming, so there are many places in Eastern Idaho where you can get married with the Grand Teton as your backdrop. Driggs, Tetonia & Victor are at the base of the Tetons on the Idaho side, many say the better side :).

4. Backcountry in Bridger Teton National Forest

If you want to load up a Side by Side, pack a backpack for a hike or take a camper boondocking there are many beautiful places in Bridger Teton National Forest that seem untouched by world around us. Let me show them to you!
